Trailhead Consulting’s Jason Prno was invited to speak to the National Roundtable on the Environment and the Economy’s Water and Mining Sector Roundtable in Ottawa, Ontario on October 16, 2009.  His presentation focused on the results of the recently released research report ‘Climate Change and Canadian Mining: Opportunities for Adaptation’.  The impacts of climate change on the Canadian mining sector were discussed, as were potential adaptation strategies the sector could employ.

Jason Prno delivered the presentation ‘Unique Challenges for Resource Development in the Canadian North’ to an audience of over 200 people in Guelph, Ontario on October 14, 2009.  He was invited by the organization Third Age Learning to discuss his consulting and research experiences in the north, with a specific focus on the challenges faced by resource developers.  Challenges related to the geography of the Canadian North, the meaningful inclusion of Aboriginal peoples, and climate change were discussed.
