Jason Prno

From working with Inuit elders in remote Arctic communities, to investigating the impacts of climate change on mining operations in Canada and reporting on deliverables in metropolitan boardrooms Jason’s consulting and research experience spans a variety of topics and has taken him to many unique locations.

Environmental Assessment Support

Involved in various aspects of the environmental assessment process for an advanced exploration mining project on northern Baffin Island, Nunavut, including:

• Regulatory hearings and community consultation
• Community-based research

Environmental Management System Maintenance and Support

Involved in the implementation, maintenance and auditing of environmental and quality management system components (i.e. for ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and Responsible Care) for a mid-sized chemical recycling and manufacturing operation in southern Ontario.

Environmental Assessment Support

Provision of environmental assessment support for a mineral exploration project in northern Ontario. Primary contributions pertained to the project's traditional knowledge and climate change studies.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Design and Support

Provided support for the implementation and design of ISO 14001 environmental management system components for a mid-sized transportation provider in southern Ontario.

Environmental Monitoring Support

Provided various levels of field support for environmental monitoring projects, including those pertaining to wildlife (e.g. fisheries), geomorphology, geology and remote sensing.
